Tax Filing Services and Free Workshops
CCCS-OC has been providing access to free tax filing since 2009. In the previous tax campaign, CCCS-OC successfully returned a total of $341,707 in federal refunds, of which $70,079 was in EITC and $88,687 in state refunds.
Effective Jan. 30, 2013, taxpayers earning less than $57,000 can file their taxes for free, and taxpayers earning less than $50,270 can potentially be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) by using the link below. The module is user-friendly with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as partner and made possible by United Way, Goodwill and other sponsors. CCCS-OC provides this service to taxpayers to:
- Access free tax filing and avoid Rapid Anticipation Loans (RALs)
- Promote the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
- Maximize tax refunds by establishing a savings plan creating assets
