Feature News KCOMM Groundbreaking Ceremony for Primior on Its First Opportunity Zone Project in Santa Ana

Primior, a leading real estate development and investment management firm, broke ground on its First Harbor Plaza development in Santa Ana. Our Public Relations agency assisted with coordinating the ceremony, bringing elected officials and other business leaders from the region.

The 40,129-sq.-ft. project will the first of two Opportunity Zone developments for the firm in the city, aimed to cover the lot with restaurant, retail, office and medical properties in one of Santa Ana's busiest areas.

The celebration featured Johnney Zhang, CEO of Primior, who was joined by area community, development and government representatives who expressed their enthusiastic support for the project, including:

The distinguished speakers shared their collective excitement for the project and its potential for further reinvigorating the commercial and lifestyle resources in the surrounding area. To conclude the event, Primior was presented with a special certificate of recognition from State Assemblyman Phillip Chen.

Feature News IEC/ViewSonic Event Focuses on Digital Transformation

The impressive headquarters of ViewSonic Americas in Brea, Calif., was the site for a special event focused on current trends in Digital Transformation that are reshaping industry segments from the enterprise to education and gaming. The International Executive Council (IEC) partnered with the company to host an intriguing Q&A featuring Michael Morhaime, founder of Blizzard Entertainment, and Jeff Volpe, President of ViewSonic Americas, that was moderated by Gloria Lee, Partner at the Rutan & Tucker law firm.

Prior to the highly informative discussion, Jeff hosted a tour of the multi-room ViewSonic product demonstration areas for projection systems, desktop monitors, commercial displays and advanced interactive, flat-panel displays designed to boost collaboration and productivity.

Following the program, IEC members were presented with a ViewSonic desktop monitor in appreciation for their attendance.

Fundraiser Garners $100,000 for Caterina's Club

The American Foundation of Savoy Orders raised a significant level of charitable donations for Caterina's Club during its annual West Coast gala held in Los Angeles. Caterina's Club is a non-profit that provides warm meals, affordable housing assistance and job training to homeless and low-income families throughout Southern California.

The $100,000 check was subsequently presented to Caterina's Club founder Chef Bruno Serato at the foundation's annual spring event in New York City.

United Way Corporate Soccer Cup Supports Kids

The inaugural United Way Corporate Soccer Cup was a major success, both on and off the field. Orange County United Way partnered with Orange County Soccer Club to raise $40,000 for Orange County United Way's Healthy School Initiative, which helps reduce childhood obesity. Fielding a team for the event, KCOMM was proud to be part of this very worthy effort to enhance the health of our youth!

Ellis Island Honors Society Names Kanatsiz

KCOMM Founder and CEO Sinan Kanastiz was recently named a 2019 Ellis Island Medalist. The Ellis Island Medal of Honor is presented by the Ellis Island Honors Society to individuals who preserve and celebrate the history, traditions and values of their ancestry while exemplifying the values of the American way of life, and who are dedicated to creating a better world.

The medal presentation event was attended by distinguished American citizens whose lives epitomize dedication to community service and extraordinary accomplishments in their industry. Past medalists have included seven U.S. Presidents, three world leaders, several Nobel Prize winners and countless leaders in industry, education, the arts, sports and government as well as everyday Americans who have made freedom, liberty and compassion a part of their life's work.
