Welcome, This month, we're pleased to report on three major events and a specialized KCOMM service offering. First are some inspirational stories from a special gathering at Stance headquarters, followed by an upcoming soccer tournament benefiting Orange County United Way and a charity gala at the Marconi Museum. Exemplary Achievements Celebrated The International Executive Council (IEC) featured two incredible adaptive athletes, their inspirational journeys and individual achievements at the San Clemente headquarters of leading apparel company, Stance. The room was filled to capacity, with standing room only, while U.S. Paralympic gold medalist Megan Blunk, blind USC long-snapper Jake Olson, and Stance founder Jeff Kearl took the stage. Both athletes energized the room as they shared stories of setbacks and how they overcame those challenges and persevered to achieve their goals. The evening also included presentation of a check for $10,000 from the IEC and FMA toward Olson's foundation supporting eye cancer research. Kearl provided an impressive look at the vision, branding, marketing and strategy behind building an exceptional culture of people and success at Stance. Jeff Volpe, President of ViewSonic Americas, wrapped up the agenda with a look at the visual technologies that are reshaping how we interact, learn and collaborate in schools and the workspace.

OC Soccer Supports United Way The upcoming 2019 United Way Corporate Cup soccer tournament will benefit the Orange County United Way's Healthy Schools Initiative to help reduce childhood obesity. Sixteen teams will be competing for a spot in the June 1 final match. KCOMM is proud and excited to be one of those teams. That day will also offer another opportunity to support this vital program for our kids. Watch the Orange County Soccer Club take on Rio Grande Valley FC. When you purchase tickets for that game, a promotional code is available under which 50% of your net ticket proceeds will be donated to the initiative.

Caterina's Club Red Carpet Gala Caterina's Club, a non-profit that provides warm meals, affordable housing assistance and job training to homeless and low-income families throughout Southern California, will be hosting its 14th annual Red Carpet Gala. This year's event will be held at the Marconi Museum on Sun., Sept. 15. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased here.
