Yesterday, we were proud to be on the team that created an impressive ribbon cutting ceremony for a highly innovative renewable energy facility that is a stellar example of a successful public-private partnership. Montauk Energy has developed a 113,000-sq.-ft. operation in Irvine, Calif., that utilizes county landfill-produced gas to generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of 26,000 homes for the city of Anaheim. The organization will honor Tilly Levine, founder and CEO of the Tilly's retail clothing company, with its annual Champion of Hope award.
