KCOMM | Unifying Markets and Mediums with your Message
Welcome to our January newsletter
Welcome,

We're just a month into the new year. And it's off to a fast start.

Several exciting new clients have joined the KCOMM roster. They represent a broad spectrum of businesses, and we look forward to helping them grow and compete. You can learn more about them below.

Our focus internally at KCOMM this year is to continually enhance a positive work environment and encourage a healthy and fit lifestyle. We have also implemented or improved technologies for the agency including our client project management system, accounting programs and utilization of DropBox Enterprise.

And last, but certainly not least, we have brought Daniel Moorlach on board in support of our account management, social media, research and pubic relations activities. Daniel is a senior at Chapman University, graduating this spring with a major in Corporate Communications and a minor in Leadership. He is actively involved in the campus's business fraternity, where he serves as professional development chair. He also has entrepreneurial experience in market research and mobile application development.

Best wishes to you, your business associates and your families for a very productive and satisfying year in 2014.

Sincerely,

Sinan Kanatsiz
Chief Executive Officer

ExactTarget Hosts Special Event

ExactTarget hosted a special gathering on Jan. 30 at CBS Studios in Los Angeles on "The Internet of Customers: The Future of 1:1." With marketing companies operating in a mobile-first world where consumers have a level of connectivity that is unprecedented, interactions happen across every digital channel at every hour of the day.

Today's hyper-connected world requires that companies get closer to their customers, and CEOs are turning to the CMO - and digital marketing specifically - in record numbers to drive a level of connectivity unlike anything in history.

The Salesforce ET Marketing Cloud and industry thought leaders convened for a dynamic presentation on how marketers can get to the future faster and welcome their customers as they arrive. The event was moderated by Sinan Kanatsiz, Chairman of the Internet Marketing Association. Presenters included Casey Kasprzyk, Executive Producer, CBS; Scott Roth, VP Marketing, ExactTarget; and Angela Sanchez, VP Direct Marketing, Universal Music Group.

The Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation houses a $30-million car collection and raises funds for children's charities.

Saviynt provides security management solutions for critical and complex IT applications.

Polaroid Fotobar is a retail and online service offering ways for people to capture and use their photography in creative ways.

TORC: The Off-Road Championship is the nation's leading high-speed, short-course, off-road racing series.

And Ware Malcomb is an international firm that offers planning, architecture, interior design, civil engineering, graphic design and sustainable design services.

CES 2014 Showcases Leading Edge

The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is always a dazzling experience. And it offers a unique opportunity to see what's coming, who's on top and how the industry is faring. Here are a few highlights from this year's extravaganza.

Samsung wants your TVs to bend! XYZprinting can print shoes for your girlfriend! Sony sees its gear in every article of clothing to measure your heart rate, tell you the time and wash your laundry from your phone! GoPro wants you to record everything you can while doing the things you love most in life, including skiing, diving, biking and skydiving! And that's just a taste.

CES has become the largest show in Las Vegas, with over 150,000 attendees this year, breaking all attendance records. The main take-away was how all these devices and consumer electronics are in touch with one another via the Internet. And that the best days of linking devices together with data are right ahead of us. Simplifying all aspects of life seems to be the directive coming from CES this year.

IMA Slates Major Events for 2014

They will include a webinar series and the IMPACT14 Conference & Awards as well as group excursions to Washington, Singapore, Miami and New York. All these opportunities are designed to offer interaction with industry leaders, exposure to best practices and insight into policies. Stay tuned for details.
