IMPACT Speakers Welcome,

This month, I'd like to focus on some very exciting developments regarding the Internet Marketing Association and its IMPACT13 Conference and Awards event, coming up very soon at ARIA Resort, CityCenter, Las Vegas, September 25-27, 2013. We encourage KCOMM associates, clients and partners to participate in this unique gathering of industry experts and business leaders.

If you have not registered already, I highly recommend reserving your space as soon as possible (Southwest roundtrip flights starting at $150). The conference is anticipated to sell out again this year. Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, will be giving a personal walk-through of the company's new, state-of-the-art headquarters in downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon. That unique opportunity will be followed by a kick-off reception at the beautiful 27th-floor skylobby of Mandarin Oriental, with a spectacular 270-degree view of the Las Vegas strip and skyline.

The main conference day will feature an opening keynote address by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, followed by 12 high-impact breakout sessions on topics including Social, Mobile, Data & Analytics, Marketing Innovation and up-to-the-minute market intelligence and actionable best practices.

IMA is moving ahead aggressively on other key fronts as well, including a reseearch partnership with CMO.com and Indiana University. IMA has commissioned the first-ever "CMO Impact Report." Results of this benchmark study, orchestrated by renowned research firm The Steinberg Group, will be discussed at the IMPACT13 CMO Roundtable. Over 2,000 CMO's who are members of IMA have been invited to participate in this research.

IMA has also commissioned a white paper with Pepperdine University on "The Philosophical Connections Between Internet Marketing and Online Privacy." Written by Professor Garrett Pendergraft, School of Philosophy and Technology, this important paper will be provided to all IMPACT13 attendees in September.

All in all, IMPACT13 promises to be a very special and memorable experience.
