Welcome,

One of Orange County's most unique and important community resources continues to grow. For those of you who haven't yet experienced it, Pretend City Children's Museum is a colorful, exciting, miniature city where children have fun while learning through guided play. The museum also hosts a wide range of special events, school field trips, educational classes, and more. Through March, Pretend City has welcomed over 450,000 guests and served some 30,000 children on field trips.

The museum recently held its third annual poker fundraising event on March 22 at Big Canyon County Club featuring a hosted premium bar, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, certified poker dealers and multiple prize opportunities. Over $175,000 was raised in an evening filled with pocket aces, lots of laughter and generosity!

U.S. Congressman McKeon Offers Armed Services Update

The Balboa Bay Club & Resort was the venue for a special update by U.S. Congressman Buck McKeon, who represents the state's 25th district. Congressman McKeon currently serves as the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee.

His priorities include investing in a force positioned to meet the challenges of the 21st century, keeping terrorist detainees off U.S. soil, boosting funds for missile defense, and bridging the gap between industry and military leaders.

At the March gathering of area business and community leaders, McKeon addressed advancements in the armed forces and related developments in Washington.
