Welcome,

Social media continue to permeate personal as well as business interactions. It's a rapidly growing world with strong potential impact for our clients. Here are just a few examples involving Facebook.

We recently created a Facebook advertising campaign for a large insurance company, whereby every new "Like" from a Facebook member generates a donation of $5 to the YMCA Youth and Government Program.

Facebook is a powerful means of promoting special events. The most recent was the 2011 Economic Forecast presented by Wells Fargo Advisors and the Extension Program at the University of California, Irvine.

On the non-profit front, BuildingAFRICA is using printed business cards with its Facebook URL. All guests at BuildingAFRICA events receive the card that directs them to the organization's page.

A new marketing service to watch, called Foursquare, combines mobile smartphones, GPS, database technology and social media so people can locate friends, find fun and interesting things to do, and share tips and reviews.

And that's just the tip of the social media "iceberg." There's a lot more to explore.

Sincerely,

Sinan Kanatsiz
