Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all our customers, contractors, partners and friends. We look forward to spending another year together. As we reflect upon 2011, we have seen many changes occur in the IT Marketplace pertaining to IT budgets and hiring. ITC's client base has seen a 57.2% increase in hiring from 2010 to 2011 alone. Many of our clients on a national level have increased their PMO and are utilizing contractors in the form of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Network Engineers, Support Analysts, Developers and Architects. Our largest increase in IT Talent has surrounded Outsourced Services and Healthcare Applications.
Moreover, in 2011, many companies have created new full time positions within their own organizations. These positions that were formerly reduced have been added back in the form of Director, Manager, Vice President and, in some cases, new Chief Information Officers. Information Weekly's December issue announced that two years ago, the IT hiring picture was bleak: Just 14% of companies were expanding and 18% were cutting back. Today, 25% are expanding and just 9% are cutting back. These numbers are consistent with the overall growth Irvine Technology has experienced on a national level this past year with our own clientele.
Irvine Technology Corporation is thankful for the recognition and awards we have received this year and feel fortunate to be able to give back to several charities and organizations within Orange County. This year alone, ITC received two Congressional Recognition Awards for Excellence in Business from Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and Congressman John Campbell. We were awarded IMA's Top Information Technology Staffing Company of 2011, as well as featured in both Entrepreneur Magazine and Professional Women's Magazine regarding leadership and how to conduct an IT Audit.
In addition, ITC hosted a large fundraiser for the YWCA supporting young women who need assistance after leaving the foster care system. ITC also supported Step Up Women's Network, which was formed on the basis of mentoring young women who desire to enter the professional workplace. It is our goal to continue to support and foster organizations that promote professional growth and invest in the future of people.
As we say goodbye to 2011, we welcome 2012 with excitement! We here at ITC thank you for your continued support, and give our best for a successful and fulfilling New Year.
