Welcome,

This month we had some of the best political conversations in IMA history. Real topics like education reform, hit straight on by Mark Zuckerberg, Governor Chris Christie and other business leaders in a very intimate environment, Mark Zuckerberg's living room. My father has been a public school teacher for the greater part of 4 decades. These days there seems to be a great disconnect among educators and students, due to the way curriculum is being presented.

On behalf of IMA, I asked Governor Christie about the use of technology within New Jersey classrooms and his response was very positive and supportive of this direction. Examples include, iPads to replace text books and demand-based learning through online education. A blended approach to remain relevant and effective to students.

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife are the nation's #2 highest giving philanthropists, pledging over 500 million dollars in 2012 alone. 100 million of that went toward New Jersey education reform, attempting to set a model nationally. These are the types of conversations the Internet Marketing Association continues to be part of. I am open to your suggestions, feedback and input as we continue to provide input to law makers on the benefits of technology in the classroom.

Also, next week the IMA will be prominently involved with the Adobe Digital Marketing Summit. If you are interested in attending, please let me know via email.

Sincerely,

Sinan Kanatsiz
