Claims Regarding Home to Foreclosure Issues Due

Joseph Smith, monitor of the National Mortgage Settlement, is collecting complaints from consumers, counselors and others who believe there have been violations to the agreement. He can fine violators and force them to correct their mistakes. The deadline to file a claim for compensation under the Attorneys' General National Mortgage Settlement is Jan. 18, 2013.

Borrowers who lost their home between January 2008 and December 2011 and whose mortgages were serviced by Ally/GMAC, Bank of America, Citi, Chase or Wells Fargo must file a claim by Jan. 18. Compensation in this settlement will not affect eligibility in other settlements.
