Happy Halloween from everyone at CCCS-OC! This is a fun time of year when children of all ages don costumes and make their way through their neighborhoods in search of goodies and perhaps a gentle scare. It can also be a wonderful time for bonding between parents and children, as well as an opportunity for the kids to learn about waiting their turn, courtesy with adults and watching out for traffic on streets they may need cross. Americans will spend $8 billion on Halloween! Generally in a bad economy, Halloween spending rises as people want something to celebrate. Another lesson to impart this month relates to personal finances and how to avoid spending too much on candy and costumes. We wish you all a safe and enjoyable evening. Sincerely, Cheryl Y.
