Smart Shred Event Helps Avoid Identity Theft
For two consecutive years, CCCS-OC has participated in the annual Protect Your Identity Week (PYIW). This year PYIW will take place Oct. 20-27. The nationwide event is designed to help consumers be more aware of what they can do to prevent identity theft. CCCS-OC complements PYIW by hosting workshops that prevent consumers from becoming victims of identity theft and partnering with Cintas Document Management to provide a free Smart Shred Event to consumers and business owners bi-annually. This event provides an opportunity to the community at large to appropriately dispose of unwanted paper at no charge with the security of not becoming a victim of identity theft. In addition, "Identity Theft: Deter, Detect, and Defend" workshops will be taught to promote awareness. 2012 Smart Shred Event Saturday, October 20, 2012 9:00AM-12:00PM 1920 Old Tustin Ave. Santa Ana, 92705 Unlimited drop-offs are welcome. |
