CCCS-OC Celebrates 45 Years The celebration on May 3 of our 45th anniversary and our strong relationships with local businesses was a smashing success. The event was attended by a cross-section of our community who assembled for some great food, music, speakers and networking. Our very special guests were U.S. Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and Lucy Dunn, President/CEO of the Orange County Business Council. In addition to an update on activities in the nation's capital, Congresswoman Sanchez spoke about both her concerns and her overriding optimism about the state of the Orange County economy. She also emphasized the important role CCCS-OC plays in helping individuals and families maintain financial solvency and their contributions to the economy. Dunn outlined the council's key priorities in terms of quality of life and economic progress for the county, with the business community at the vanguard of those efforts. A special highlight of the evening was two heartfelt testimonials from CCCS-OC clients who had faced major financial challenges and were able to surmount them with help from the organization's expert counselors.
