Bob Gleason Honored with 2010 FS-ISAC Distinguished Service Award

The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) honored Bob Gleason, Brinqa's director of sales for the eastern and federal regions, with the 2010 FS-ISAC Distinguished Service Award. The award was given to Mr. Gleason on Monday, May 3rd at the FS-ISAC Annual Member Meeting and Conference for his support and commitment to grow participation in the FS-ISAC and to improve its value proposition to current and new members. Gleason had served on the board of the FS-ISAC from 2005-2009. Gary Owen, Chairman of the FS-ISAC and head of Goldman Sachs' Technology Risk department, and Bill Nelson, President and CEO of the FS-ISAC, presented the award to Bob at the opening dinner of the conference. Bill commented on Bob's passion for the FS-ISAC's mission and his skills in resolving key issues and problems facing the organization.

The FS-ISAC is a nonprofit association with a mission to protect the financial services sector from cyber and physical attacks, vulnerabilities and threats. Membership in the FS-ISAC has grown from just 68 members in 2004 to over 4,200 today. Bob Gleason's leadership helped contribute to this growth and has continued with his recent move to Brinqa.

Mr. Gleason has over 25 years of experience in information technology, specializing in sales and business development. Prior to joining Brinqa, he spent eight years as a director with Ernst & Young's Information Technology Advisory Services practice, focusing on the financial services industry. He is known as a leader and supporter for multiple organizations in the information security industry, such as the United States Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force, NY Chapter of the ISSA, SIFMA, and ISACA.
